LAHAD DATU: The Silam Division of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) remains unfazed by the decision of several parties to leave the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition.
PGRS Silam Chief, Datuk Mizma Appehdullah, said the move does not affect the party’s fighting spirit or its commitment to the GRS-led government.
He said PGRS Silam remains focused on strengthening unity within the party, especially at the grassroots level.
“We in the Silam Division are not at all shaken by the actions of a few parties leaving GRS. Our stance is clear and firm — we will continue to stand with the leadership of Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor because we believe GRS can maintain stability and continue developing Sabah,” he said.
Mizma said this when met during a Community Service Programme based on research collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) held at the Taman Sapagaya People’s Housing Project (PPR) on Sunday.
He stressed that what matters most now is to continue the struggle to safeguard the people’s interests at the grassroots level.
“Loyalty and sincerity are vital values in fighting for the people’s agenda,” he said.
Mizma added that GRS’s real strength lies not in the number of its component parties but in their unity and shared commitment to developing Sabah under Hajiji’s leadership.
