Adly Zahari says PH will champion integrity and competence while reviewing strategies, and identify areas for improvement.
BUKIT MERTAJAM: Pakatan Harapan (PH) will continue to champion a political approach based on values, integrity, and administrative competence while reviewing its strategies to adapt to the evolving political landscape.
Amanah vice-president Adly Zahari said this approach remains central to PH’s agenda, as voters will ultimately assess matters that directly affect their daily lives, including the cost of living, economic conditions, education, and government performance.
“At the same time, we will identify areas for improvement through a post-mortem analysis,” he told reporters after officiating the Penang Amanah Convention here today.
Adly was responding to questions on PH and Amanah’s performance in the Negeri Sembilan state election.
He said PH needs to refine its communication strategy to better convey the government’s achievements, economic policies, and initiatives aimed at improving the people’s well-being.
Yesterday’s Negeri Sembilan state election saw Barisan Nasional (BN) win 18 of the 36 state seats, while Pakatan Harapan (PH) secured 11 seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) won seven.
Meanwhile, Penang PH chairman Chow Kon Yeow said that the coalition would meet on Aug 8 to review the results of the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections and formulate new strategies to prepare for a potential early general election.
“We need to refocus voters on the government’s performance and service delivery, the people’s well-being, achievements, and efforts to create job opportunities,” he said.
