Kota Kinabalu: Pakatan Harapan (PH) remains optimistic about its chances in the coming Sabah state election, citing its strong rapport with most political parties across the state.
PKR vice-president Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan, also Deputy Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister, said the coalition’s cooperation and grassroots work had strengthened, with local leaders showing maturity in handling candidate-related matters.
He said his visit focused on ensuring election readiness among PH component parties while maintaining unity, adding that feedback from Sabah leaders would be conveyed to the party president.
Ramanan said the decision by Upko to contest under its own logo was an internal matter, and confirmed that PKR would use the PH logo in the polls.
He added that despite fluid political developments, PH viewed cooperation with other parties such as GRS and Umno positively and did not see the formation of Gabungan Bersatu Sabah as a threat.
