PH pledges 30,000 high-paying jobs, 20,000 affordable homes in Negeri manifesto

PAKATAN Harapan (PH) has launched its 'Kekal Harapan' manifesto for the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, promising to create 30,000 high-paying jobs and build 20,000 affordable homes as part of a broader agenda to strengthen the state's economy and improve the quality of life for its people.

The manifesto was unveiled by Negeri Sembilan PH chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, alongside PH deputy chairman Anthony Loke and Negeri Sembilan Amanah chairman Datuk MK Ibrahim Abd Rahman.

The coalition's 10 key commitments include maintaining a stable, clean and people-friendly government, strengthening the Skim Sejahtera Rakyat (SSR), expanding access to quality education, resolving longstanding land issues, empowering youth, women and families, promoting tourism and cultural heritage, ensuring balanced urban and rural development, modernising agriculture to enhance food security, improving strategic infrastructure and healthcare services, and fostering religious harmony and national unity.

PH also pledged to undertake five high-impact projects, namely the Seremban Sentral development and increased Seremban–Kuala Lumpur commuter rail frequency, the construction of a new hospital in Bandar Enstek, Nilai, attracting new international investments to Port Dickson, facilitating the construction of second homes on residential FELDA lots, and delivering the Senawang–Port Klang bypass.

The coalition said the manifesto represented a continuation of policies that had already delivered tangible results while setting out a long-term roadmap to transform Negeri Sembilan into a more advanced, competitive, sustainable and inclusive state by 2045.

PH said its record in government demonstrated that political stability had enabled sustained economic and social progress.

"Negeri Sembilan has recorded the highest investment inflows in the state's history, created thousands of new job opportunities, strengthened the social welfare network, enhanced educational institutions, expanded infrastructure development and maintained a strong fiscal position.

"PH is committed to continuing Negeri Sembilan's development agenda in a stable, progressive and inclusive manner.

"This manifesto is anchored on the needs of the people, sustainable economic growth, quality employment opportunities, comprehensive social welfare and balanced development for every segment of society," he said.

The coalition also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Islam as the religion of the Federation, strengthening state Islamic institutions, advancing the development of the Muslim community, and safeguarding religious harmony, freedom of religion and national unity in accordance with the Federal Constitution. - July 21, 2026
