SANDAKAN: Sabah PKR Chief Datuk Mustapha Sakmud (pic) said Pakatan Harapan will contest only two state seats in Sandakan — Gum-Gum and Karamunting — in the upcoming election.
He said the allocation was balanced, with one seat representing the Bumiputera Muslim community and the other the Chinese community.
Mustapha, who attended the Jelajah Harapan Urang Sabah in Gum-Gum on Friday, said the key focus was ensuring that candidates understand the reform and transformation agenda under the Madani government.
He added that while the list of candidates would only be finalised on nomination day, the party remains proactive in its preparations.
Mustapha expressed confidence that the coalition could secure both seats if members stay united and committed as polling day nears.
