PH to go on 2nd investment mission to Poland in Q3

PHILIPPINE Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Tereso Panga on Tuesday said his team is returning to Poland on the third quarter of the year to scout for more investments.

“We’re opening more doors for you [as] your gateway,” Panga said at the 2026 Poland-Philippines Investment Dialogue in Manila.

To date, Poland has direct investments in Casual Sight Philippines Inc., a manufacturer of electronic musical instruments, and Lingaro Philippines Inc., an IT-BPM company.

In June 2025, PEZA conducted its first investment mission to Poland, facilitated by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

PAIH assists foreign and Polish firms by navigating administrative and legal requirements, identifying suitable locations, and connecting investors with potential partners and suppliers.

The mission generated investment leads in renewable energy, data centers, and shipbuilding, PEZA said.

In 2024, the country’s exports to Poland totaled $252.93 million from electronics, medical apparatus, machinery, rubber, aircraft and meat and seafood.

Poland, meanwhile, exported $367.11 million worth of goods to the Philippines, including dairy products, chicken, mechanical equipment and paper.

Panga said he is also anticipating the completion of the Philippine-European Union free trade agreement that would draw more European investors to the country.

The seventh round PH-EU FTA talks will be held in Brussels from June 29 to July 3, Trade Undersecretary Allan Gepty said.

PEZA, which approved a record P260.89 billion in investment pledges in 2025, is targeting P300 billion this year.
