Philips, together with local distributor Unity Momentum Sdn Bhd, has introduced the Philips Air Series Ab1 range of inverter and non-inverter air conditioners in Malaysia. The new lineup integrates a local-exclusive aftersales support feature called SmartCare QR hub, which provides instant access to things like e-warranty registration and fault diagnosis.

The air conditioners feature One-Touch Turbo mode delivers rapid cooling through strong airflow within seconds, while similarly, the one-tap “Comfort Air” function automatically sweeps airflow throughout the whole room. There’s also the sleep mode that reduces noise, while Smart Service Reminder prompts users to clean the filter after 1,000 hours of operation to help maintain airflow and efficiency.
Internally, the ACs have a Multi-Functional Composite Filter that reduces bacterial growth and helps ensure cleaner indoor air, while Self Clean technology is responsible for automatic dust removal on the evaporator. Specific models also feature high-efficiency full DC inverter system to support faster cooling and lower energy consumption, though both inverter and non-inverter models will feature LED display onboard for status display.
On behalf of the electronics maker, Unity Momentum Sdn Bhd also built its SmartCare QR system as the first “fully integrated digital warranty and service experience” for air conditioners in Malaysia. Users can access all service-related functions through a single scan without requiring filling in forms or calling customer support hotlines, which can be a hassle for some.
The Philips Air Series Ab1 inverter and non-inverter models will be available online starting at RM1,499 beginning 24 November 2025 via the Philips Home Flagship Store on Shopee; an eight-day launch promotion from 24 November to 1 December 2025 will offer up to RM300 off recommended retail pricing, along with gifts that include a Philips Egg Cooker and Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit for eligible purchases.
