PHILWEB Corp. said Thursday that it had entered into an exclusive partnership with international gaming content provider Pragmatic Play as part of efforts to expand its technology-enabled gaming services business in the Philippines.
In a disclosure, the company said the agreement would allow licensed gaming operators in the country to access Pragmatic Play's services, subject to regulatory approvals and contractual arrangements.
PhilWeb said it would provide hosted services through remote technology infrastructure and application programming interface (API)-enabled integration, allowing operators to offer a broader portfolio of gaming products to customers beginning in the third quarter of 2026.
The partnership is expected to strengthen PhilWeb's position as a technology and commercial partner for licensed gaming operators while providing a scalable and recurring source of revenue.
"This partnership represents an important milestone in PhilWeb's long-term strategy of expanding its technology-enabled gaming services business," PhilWeb President Edgar Brian Ng said.
"By collaborating with one of the industry's leading international gaming services providers, we are positioned to broaden our commercial relationships with licensed operators while creating a scalable and recurring revenue stream through technology-enabled services," he added.
PhilWeb said the agreement also provided a platform to pursue additional collaborations with international gaming service providers as it seeks to build a broader portfolio of technology-enabled offerings for the regulated Philippine gaming market.
The company noted that several online gaming platforms licensed to operate in the Philippines already use Pragmatic Play products.
Pragmatic Play is a multi-product software and service provider headquartered in Gibraltar. It is owned by a private group of investors led by Veridian (Gibraltar) Limited.
PhilWeb shares on Thursday slipped P0.04, or 0.29 percent, to close at P13.56 each.
