PhilWeb’s Okada Play tops P100M in revenues

PHILWEB Corp.’s digital gaming platform partnership with Okada Manila has surpassed P100 million in monthly gross gaming revenue (GGR), marking a major growth milestone six months after its launch.

On Wednesday, PhilWeb and Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. — the operator of Okada Manila — said Okada Play generated more than P100 million in GGR in October while its daily active users exceeded 100,000.

The companies also reported that betting turnover and GGR grew by approximately 50 percent month on month in October, although they did not disclose the platforms’ absolute betting turnover or previous month’s revenue figures.

Okada Manila President and Chief Operating Officer Nobuki Sato described the achievement as an important step in the integrated resort operator’s digital growth strategy.

“Surpassing P100 million in monthly GGR and reaching more than 100,000 daily active users within six months of launch is an encouraging milestone for Okada Play,” Sato said.

For PhilWeb, the platform’s performance could provide a template for expanding its digital gaming partnerships and strengthening its revenue base.

Chairman Lance Gokongwei said the October performance demonstrated the potential of combining an established integrated resort brand with scalable technology infrastructure.

He said the company’s long-term strategy is to build PhilWeb into a technology infrastructure group through organic platform expansion, strategic investments and recurring revenue opportunities.

Launched in May 2026, Okada Play is powered by PhilWeb’s Online Gaming Platform, which provides gaming technology, content aggregation, customer service infrastructure and operational support.

Beyond Okada Play, PhilWeb expects growth to accelerate across its other partner brands in the coming months, with additional platforms potentially reaching the P100-million monthly GGR milestone before the end of 2026.

The company is also advancing its planned strategic investment in JKS Tech Solutions under previously announced cross-investment arrangements, which include JKS acquiring PhilWeb common shares at P16.50 apiece.

Upon completion of the transaction, PhilWeb expects to recognize its proportionate share of JKS’ earnings in its consolidated financial results, adding another potential source of earnings alongside its existing digital gaming platforms.

PhilWeb’s share price fell by 14 centavos to close at P13.68 each on Wednesday.
