
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Minister of Industrial Development and Entreprenurship Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe led a delegation to the Hong Kong Expo recently to promote bilateral trade.
He said they were committed to pushing for more Sabah products to be exported and met with Peter Lam Kin-ngok, a prominent businessman and chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
"In addition to seafood exports, there are many other great Sabah products with export potential. For example, the ice cream sticks (ice cream potong) from Sabah’s Taluwang Company, which was exhibited this time," he said in a Facebook post.
"We also discussed collaborating to promote the halal food industry, aligning with the Hong Kong government’s efforts to position Hong Kong as a Muslim-friendly international metropolis."
