  • Licensed pilot Faith Tenkley, 23, safely ditched a twin-engine private plane in the ocean near a South Florida beach on Saturday morning.
  • Tenkley was flying to the Bahamas to pick up her parents when the aircraft experienced multiple mechanical breakdowns, including broken landing gear.
  • Prevented from landing at Boca Raton Airport, she maneuvered the plane away from buildings and paddleboarders to make a smooth water landing.
  • Lifeguards and a fire department rescue boat reached Tenkley within a minute of the landing and pulled her from the water unharmed.
  • Local authorities confirmed no passengers were on board, and they took Tenkley to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
