PISB opens largest Klang Valley branch, enters Malaysian Book of Records

KLANG, Oct 8 - Porcelain Inn Sdn Bhd (PISB) today celebrated the official opening of its new GM Klang outlet, and entered the Malaysian Book of Records (MBR) as “Largest Variety of Malay Wedding Products by a Wedding Supplier”.

Located on the fifth floor of Block B of GM Klang Wholesale City, the outlet spans more than 1,800sqm and is PISB’s largest branch in the Klang Valley. GM Klang is Malaysia’s largest wholesale mall and one of PISB’s priority retail locations.

The opening and certificate presentation took place as the company marks 35 years in business.

Founded in 1991 in Ayer Hitam, Johor, PISB has grown to 17 retail outlets across Peninsular Malaysia, from Johor in the south to Kelantan in the north. The company is also bringing its physical stores and e-commerce channels together to make shopping more accessible to customers.

Drawing on 35 years of product sourcing experience, PISB has its own design team to create distinctive products with locally inspired designs that reflect customers’ tastes. For wedding door gifts, its designs consider how guests will feel receiving the gift, with current patterns for different themes. Customers can also enquire about bundle deals and quantity-based offers for selected products.

All PISB products are offered as ready stock, giving customers the convenience of selecting wedding supplies, door gifts and decorations from stocked products rather than placing advance orders. The record is based on the total number of unique stock keeping units (SKUs) in the combined inventory of PISB’s 17 outlets, submitted and verified under the approved record title.

Unique SKUs identify distinct products and are different from the number of physical units in stock.

Meanwhile, PISB said the MBR recognition concerns its variety of Malay wedding products.

“To us, ‘largest variety’ means choice. Every wedding is different. Every customer has different needs, different tastes, and different budgets,” said PISB general manager Goh Tian Soo. “As we move forward, we will continue developing quality products, offering more choices, and delivering better value, while strengthening staff training to create a better shopping experience.”

PISB’s aspiration is clear - when Malaysians think of Malay wedding supplies, the company wants them to think of one brand: PISB.

Guests attending the event included GM Klang Wholesale City managing director Dato’ Lim Seng Kok, Datuk Dr Calvin Khiu, MBR chief operating officer Jwan Heah, and MBR official Siti Hajar Johor.
