Kota Kinabalu: The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sabah has made significant organisational changes, appointing Datuk Christina Liew (pic) as the Chairperson of the State Political Bureau for 2024-2025.

This appointment, announced by Sabah PKR State Leadership Council Chairman Datuk Mustapha Sakmud, is part of the party’s strategy to strengthen its structure and prepare for upcoming State Elections.

The decision aligns with Liew’s continued role as the Chairperson of Pakatan Harapan Sabah, ensuring consistency in leadership across allied political organizations.

In a statement, Mustapha said the appointment completes the party’s organisational structure, ensuring balanced representation from various races and religions among branch representatives.

He added that the new leadership line-up reflects the party’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

In addition to political preparations, the PKR Leadership Council expressed regret over the recent flood disasters in areas such as Penampang, Putatan and Sepanggar.

The party has mobilised its machinery to provide assistance and contributions to affected areas, showcasing its commitment to community service alongside political activities.
