LAHAD DATU: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has yet to finalise its decision on number of candidates who will contest on behalf of the party in the coming 17th State Election (PRN17).
PKR Information Chief, Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, said the list of candidates is expected to be announced during the official announcement about two weeks before nomination day.
He said that for now, there are still several matters that need to be discussed and resolved.
“Recently, National Umno President cum Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi also stated that BN will maintain its cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH)and will not work with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
“Following that decision, there are several matters that we need to discuss,” Fahmi said at a press conference held in conjunction with his visit to Lahad Datu on Saturday.
Earlier, Fahmi, who is also the Communications Minister, visited Kg Sepagaya to test the quality of communications coverage in the area.
The visit was also aimed at assessing the performance and readiness level of communications service providers (telcos) in facing the Northeast Monsoon.
