PlayStation Plus subscribers need to prepare for a significant shift in their catalogue, as Sony has released the detailed list of games leaving PS Plus in August 2025. As many as 13 notable titles belonging to varying genres will be departing your library, so play them for one last time before they are gone forever.  

These games will be formally removed on 19 August 2025. After that, you will not be able to play them without making a purchase from the PS Store. The number of games removed is often much higher than the number of titles Sony adds to the PS Plus catalogue every month.

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3 takes players on an unforgettable journey through various kingdoms as they make some life-changing decisions and also kill increasingly difficult monsters on the side.  

Developer CD Projekt Red has shown its dedication towards the game by releasing a massive next-generation update for it. Hence, those playing it on the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series consoles will get significantly improved visuals and performance.

2. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

This is an action-adventure Soulslike game featuring Jedi Knight Cal Kestis as he, along with his friends, tries his best to survive the Galactic Empire and look for ways to get rid of it altogether.  

If you have played the prequel, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you will be glad to know that the developers have fixed the map and expanded the gameplay mechanics in several meaningful ways. Players now have various stances to choose from, the freedom to level up their choice of stance, and even a blaster as one of the stances. In addition, there’s a block meter, and players get access to several new and exciting Force powers.  

3. Wild Hearts

This is an open-world game that takes heavy inspiration from Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise. Players explore the world of Azuma as they hunt down several monsters, which are generally called the Kemono. 

Players get an option to choose from eight weapon types and a mechanic called Karakuri, which can be used to build various structures and tools that can help entrap or weaken foes for a limited time.  

4. EA Sports UFC 5

If you are a fan of MMA, this game will let you create your fighter and fight against others online or offline using various MMA-specific moves that look mind-blowing when mixed with incredible visuals and realistic character physics.  

5. Ride 5

Built on Unreal Engine 4, Ride 5 is one of the best-looking racing sims out there. Players can choose from various motorcycles and race them on a myriad of tracks across four continents. 

If you are not someone who likes to race alone, this game also features a robust multiplayer mode, allowing you to compete with your friends online.  

6. ‘Sword Art Online’ series

Release: Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization (2016), Lost Song (2015), Fatal Bullet (2018), Alicization Lycoris (2020), Last Recollection (2023)

Fans of the Sword Art franchise need to hurry, as Last Recollection, Alicization Lycoris, Fatal Bullet, Lost Song, and Hollow Realisation are among the games leaving PS Plus in August 2025. 

These are Japanese RPGs where players can customise their protagonist and choose from over 300 non-playable characters to recruit in their party, create special bonds with them, and go on adventures together.  

Each of these games adds a slight twist to the gameplay to keep things fresh, with Hollow Realization combining classic Sword Art Online gameplay with massively multiplayer RPG mechanics, making it a compelling online title.  

7. Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker

This is a fast-paced 4v4 arena combat game with a large number of playable characters for you to choose from. The gameplay involves four players simultaneously fighting each other using a combination of strong and weak attacks, along with some teamwork. You will often find yourself defending your teammates from incoming attacks and using healing abilities to heal them. It is a fast-paced fighting game that is a perfect fit for all Naruto fans.  

8. Bugsnax

Bugsnax is a first-person adventure game where players must explore a mysterious island and dig through various clues to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of an explorer.  

For the most part, players will find themselves talking to other people living on the island and collecting and trying out the bugsnax. As the name suggests, these are bugs that are in the shape of snacks and can be eaten. While the premise sounds exciting enough, this title has an ending you are not ready for — keep this in mind before jumping into the world of Bugsnax 

9. Vacation Simulator

The creators of Job Simulator are back with Vacation Simulator. After having experienced how people suffer through their mundane jobs, this game will allow you to experience how they vacationed over the years.  

The best part is that this is a VR game, which means you can take part in all relaxing vacations in person.  

10. TopSpin 2K25

Developed by Hangar 13, the creator of the critically acclaimed Mafia series, TopSpin is a tennis video game that features realistic court physics and gives fans access to a long lineup of real-life tennis players to choose from.  

With single-player modes and offline and online multiplayer options, there is no shortage of things to do in TopSpin 2K25 

While there is no first-party PlayStation exclusive on this list, it is still crowded with some interesting titles that no one should miss out on. Hence, we suggest you pick the ones that interest you the most and be done with them before they are removed from PS Plus.
