PLAYTIME Entertainment and Summit Media on Wednesday launched PT Summit, a joint venture that aims to develop technology solutions for media companies as publishers seek to strengthen their digital platforms and expand revenue opportunities.
The venture combines PlayTime Entertainment's technology capabilities with Summit Media's experience in developing digital media brands and content platforms.
It will build digital products, marketing solutions and content tools designed to help publishers improve audience engagement, streamline operations and enhance monetization.
PT Summit will initially focus on product and platform development, digital marketing solutions, and intelligent tools for content creation and distribution.
Summit Media will serve as PT Summit's first client and flagship implementation partner, with its portfolio of digital brands, including Preview, PEP.ph, SPOT.ph, SPIN.ph, Smart Parenting, Esquire Philippines and Cosmopolitan Philippines, set to adopt the platform's technology.
"The initial rollout will allow PT Summit to deploy and refine its platform within an established media ecosystem, across brands with different audiences, content categories, and commercial needs," Summit Media Chairman Lisa Gokongwei said.
PT Summit CEO Crisanto Roy Alcid said the venture aimed to provide media companies with technology infrastructure as the way audiences discover and consume content continues to evolve.
"PT Summit was created to provide critical tech infrastructure that media companies need to adapt to these changes," he said.
Following its rollout across Summit Media's brands, PT Summit plans to make its platform available to independent publishers, media networks and other content businesses seeking to strengthen their digital capabilities without having to build complex systems from the ground up.
