
Kota Kinabalu: The Lunar New Year is getting closer and buying New Year goods is one of the most important things for those celebrating the festivity.
In order to add cheer and flavour to the festivity, and to make shopping more convenient for the public, the Plaza 333, located along Jalan Penampang bypass, will be holding the 2023 Lunar New Year Carnival for three consecutive nights from 5pm to 11pm starting on Jan 6.
Tai Ket Hau, the person in charge, said that there will be dozens of stalls selling gourmet food, and various new year goods, including famous New Year cakes from Hong Kong and Macau, famous ponkans and oranges from Taiwan, etc. as well as the must-have sausages and accessories for the Chinese New Year, all kinds of indispensable festive items during the Spring Festival.
In addition, at 8.30pm every night, people who go shopping for New Year’s goods and are looking for delicious food can also enjoy the wonderful performance presented by the Li Qiang Dragon and Lion Team.
“The public is welcome to come and join in the grand event. Apart from purchasing New Year’s goods, you can also feel the lively atmosphere of welcoming the New Year in advance,” he said.
