Plymouth Argyle are ready to announce Wayne Rooney as new manager.
The Manchester United legend has been locked in talks with Argyle this past week.
BBC Sport says Rooney is due to be named Plymouth manager today.
He will succeed Ian Foster, who was sacked before the end of last season.
Rooney was then appointed Birmingham manager in October 2023, but he was sacked less than three months later.
