Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says the new salary adjustment is the highest in 12 years and the largest in public service history.

KUALA LUMPUR: The latest civil service salary increase is a recognition of dedication and commitment, not just a financial adjustment.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the implementation under the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) is the highest in 12 years and the largest in the country’s public service history.

“May this recognition serve as an incentive to continue serving with integrity, dedication, and national spirit,” he said in a Facebook post.

He called for a collective effort to drive Malaysia to its next level of excellence.

The phase two adjustment continues the pay hike announced in 2024.

It involves a total rate of 15% for the Implementer Group and the Management and Professional Group.

The Top Management Group receives a total increase of 7%.

Under Phase Two, the Management and Professional Group gets an additional 7% increase.

The Top Management Group receives a further 3% adjustment.
