Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim congratulates 17 students on winning nine overall awards and 22 medals at the KEO Global Finals in Macau.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated 17 Malaysian students on winning nine overall awards and 22 medals at the 2026 Koala Excellence Olympiad (KEO) Global Finals in Macau, which concluded yesterday.

“Congratulations to our young Malaysians on your outstanding achievements in Macau. Continue striving for excellence, and may you achieve even greater success in the future, God willing,” he said in a post on X today.

Earlier, Malaysia Young Scientists Organisation (MYSO) coordinator and head of the Malaysian contingent to Macau, Aidah Misran, said the team won a total of five gold, six silver and 11 bronze medals.

The competition, organised by KEO and Miss Man International Group and coordinated in Malaysia by MYSO, brought together students from various countries to compete in the English, Mathematics, Science and Arts Olympiads.

KEO is an international competition platform developed by a team of Australian educational experts and graduates covering four disciplines: English, Mathematics, Science, and Arts.
