
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed concern and channelled immediate assistance to families affected by floods in Manjoi, Perak.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed deep concern over the flood situation in Manjoi, Kinta district, Perak.
He stated that he has been receiving continuous updates on the situation since yesterday and has already channelled immediate assistance to those affected.
“The flood situation in Manjoi is very worrying,” Anwar said in a Facebook post today.
He added that since yesterday, he has been receiving constant updates and has provided immediate aid to families affected by the disaster.
Anwar also pledged to continue monitoring the situation and remain on alert while praying for conditions to improve.
He expressed hope that the residents of Manjoi could return to their daily routines as soon as possible.
Twenty-six people from Kampung Manjoi and Kampung Tengku Hussein have been temporarily housed at Masjid Al-Ghufron in Manjoi after their homes were flooded last night.
