Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim calls for national unity and shared prosperity in his New Year message, emphasising reforms and a resilient Malaysia MADANI.

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Malaysians to usher in the New Year 2026 with a strong spirit of togetherness and a firm resolve to further strengthen national unity.

Prime Minister, in his New Year message on his Facebook page today, urged the people to continue giving meaning to reforms and to ensure that the nation’s prosperity is shared by all segments of society.

“Let us move forward in unison, aligning our efforts and resolve, to realise a more just, prosperous and resilient Malaysia MADANI, elevate the nation’s standing to a higher level, and ensure inclusive prosperity for all,” he said. 

He stressed that the MADANI Government will continue to work with trust, courage and compassion, and remains committed to carrying out its responsibilities with integrity to deliver tangible benefits to the people and secure a more stable and prosperous future for the country.

In the message, Anwar and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail also prayed for the continued well-being of the nation.

“May 2026 be a brighter and more meaningful year for all Malaysians. Azizah and I pray that this beloved country will continue to remain peaceful, harmonious and prosperous,” he said. – Bernama
