TUARAN: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stressed that political stability is key to Malaysia’s development, allowing the government to focus on governance and public welfare.
Speaking at the Madani Iftar event, he praised Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor for ensuring stability in the state, which enables progress in areas like poverty alleviation, infrastructure, and public services.
“When politics is stable, we can prioritise development and address the people’s concerns,” Anwar said, adding that the Federal and Sabah governments are working closely to resolve critical issues.
He urged leaders to move beyond divisive politics, emphasizing unity over racial, cultural, and regional differences. He also highlighted Ramadan’s values of discipline, integrity, and compassion, encouraging Malaysians to support the less fortunate.
Anwar further stressed the importance of education, particularly in science and technology, to prepare the younger generation for global opportunities.
