
ROZAID Abdul Rahman, the media and strategic communications director at the Prime Minister’s Office, has died. He was 58.
A statement from the PMO stated that Rozaid died due to a heart condition at his house in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya.
He was admitted for treatment at the Serdang Hospital on July 1 and was only discharged on August 6.
He started working with the Prime Minister’s Office on May 23, 2023.
Rozaid was previously with The Star, with his last position as group senior consulting editor. He was also previously group editor of Sinar Harian.
In a Facebook post yesterday, Communications Minister and unity government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said Rozaid’s passing was a great loss for the media industry.
“The deceased was dedicated and committed in carrying out his duties. He was a friendly person, liked to help friends and was highly respected.
“His passing is a great loss for the media industry and he will be sorely missed,” Fahmi said. – August 19, 2024.
