KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 — The close relationship and strong cooperation between the Federal Government and the Sabah government remain a key foundation in ensuring the state continues to progress, prosper and enjoy more balanced and inclusive development.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed this confidence following a meeting with the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah, Tun Musa Aman, at a dinner at Istana Seri Kinabalu, after completing a one-day working visit to Sabah yesterday.

“We exchanged views on various issues affecting Sabah’s future, including the state’s development agenda, strengthening the economy, social well-being and efforts to improve the people’s standard of living,” he said in a Facebook post.

During his visit today, the Prime Minister attended several programmes, including the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sabah Southern MADANI Link (SSML) project and the launch of the National Unity Week 2026 celebrations at the national level. — Bernama
