In a stunning display of pure coincidence, PMX insists that the seizure of Ilham Tower has absolutely nothing to do with politics.
Because, you know, it's a common occurrence for anti-corruption agencies to casually snatch up a 60-storey skyscraper on a Friday afternoon stroll without rhyme or reason.
Watching PMX on a video footage from a TV network, we saw him with a straight poker face that could rival a professional card player, assuring the public that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is merely doing their duty, conveniently ignoring the fact that their office is practically a stone's throw away from the Prime Minister's desk.
But hey, let us not read too much into geographical proximity; surely, it is all just coincidental architecture that they are all located in Putrajaya where all government. Agencies seem to be located.
According to PMX, MACC is an equal-opportunity investigator, ready to take on "Tuns" and "Tan Sris" alike or any VVIP in the country, for that matter.
Obviously, nothing says impartiality like seizing a towering symbol of Bumiputera wealth while claiming it is all a routine business deal on a normal business day.
In fact, PMX suggests that assuming any ulterior motives would be as absurd as thinking politicians never lie.
In a world where immovable property seizures happen as regularly as your morning coffee, PMX reminds us that we should trust the authorities to uncover the truth.
We shouldn't be passing judgment until the fat lady sings.
Because, clearly, nothing builds public confidence like watching iconic landmarks change ownership without any underlying political drama like what happened with the black tower on Jalan Binjai off busy Jalan Ampang in busy part of the capital city of KualaLumpur.
It is just another day in Malaysian investigative wonders – where skyscrapers are now the new pawns in a game of anti-corruption chess with high stakes!
