MANILA, Philipppines — The Philippine National Bank (PNB) will waive InstaPay and PESONet transfer fees for customers using its mobile banking application starting July 10, 2026 joining a growing number of banks offering free online fund transfers.
The listed lender on Wednesday said clients using the PNB Digital app would be able to transfer funds to all domestic banks and e-wallets without paying transaction fees.
PNB said the move was expected to benefit more than 1.6 million users of its digital banking platform.
"As we celebrate PNB's 110th anniversary, we want to give back to the customers who have placed their trust in us through the years," PNB President and Chief Executive Officer Edwin R. Bautista said.
"Waiving transfer fees is one way we can make banking more convenient and help more Filipinos move their money with greater ease and confidence. It reflects our continuing commitment to accessible, inclusive, and customer-centered banking," he added.
Bautista said the bank would continue investing in its digital capabilities as more Filipinos adopted online banking services.
"We will continue to invest in digital capabilities that make banking simpler, more accessible, and more rewarding for every Filipino," he said.
The latest move comes as banks continue to strengthen their digital offerings and compete for customers by eliminating transaction fees for online fund transfers.
