MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday said that there is no need for "wanted" posters of him in public.
“As of now we have not yet released a wanted poster and we will have to evaluate if the need arises at maglalabas ho tayo (we will have one),” Col. Allen Rae Co, PNP spokesman said in a press briefing at Camp Crame on Thursday.
“If we will see it will help us in our manhunt operations then that’s the time that we will come up with the wanted poster,” he added.
A wanted poster is a public notice distributed by law enforcement or government authorities to inform citizens that a fugitive or suspect is being sought for a crime.
The senator, Co said, isn’t someone who is not recognizable.
“We do not see any need for now kasi unang una sino ba hindi nakakakilala sa itsura ni Sen. Bato (first of all, who doesn't recognize Sen. Bato),” he said.
“It’s not about not being able to do it but we do not see the need as of now and further evaluation so in the future if we will be able to evaluate that it will help us in looking for or arresting Sen. Bato then that’s time we will come out with a wanted poster,” he said.
A P50 million bounty has been offered for information that will lead to the arrest of dela Rosa who was also given until Friday to surrender.
