Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has apologised to Brentford for assistant coach Jesus Perez's behaviour.
Perez saw red during the 2-0 defeat after clashing with the Bees bench.
Pochettino later said: "We apologise to Brentford and the referee, we tried to take the ball from Brentford. Nothing more than this.
"It's normal, they say 'what are you doing here?', 'I want to take the ball'. That's it. Nothing more."
Pochettino says Perez won't be speaking to the media.
"I think the rule is to be banned. I think it is better to stay away."
