Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino feels their chaotic victory at Tottenham will boost his young team's belief.
The Blues won 4-1 on Monday night, with Spurs having two players sent off and VAR denying five goals on the night. Nicolas Jackson ended the game with a hat-trick.
Pochettino later said: "I think we played 22 minutes more than we initially would play. It was an amazing game and we faced against a team who were in full confidence.
"We needed to raise our confidence and it was an important victory for us. We have to analyse the game in different ways, but we forced them to make mistakes and the team showed good character. We won the game and we achieved what we wanted to do.
"To be honest, we really struggled in the opening stages and we didn't start well. I think it was difficult for us to control the game, the space in the box and the entire goal. We made too many mistakes in possession and Tottenham started the game with full of energy. After we conceded, the team started to play and played with more freedom. We didn't show our quality in the first 10 to 15 minutes of the match that we suppose to have."
He added: "Their line of the defence was so high and we started to build from the back. We didn't have the patience to move the ball from one side to another and find the right moment.
"We ran into spaces at the wrong time and were disappointed at half-time for not exposing the space that Tottenham gave us. We didn't find the right moment to kill the game because the line of defence was so high. The most important thing for us is the three points."
