Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that his project at the club will take two years to bear fruit.

The Argentine was asked about the timetable for the club being back among the elite in European football.

Before winning against Fulham on Monday night, Pochettino spoke to the press about the expectations of the club.

Asked about the project length, he stated two years" on television.

I think I understand because the owners and sporting director they explain - it is about [knowing] people and if they are happy with us and we are happy with them," he told Sky Sports.

We are working. It is not a problem to have two years or five years or a ten year contract - the most important [thing] is to be in the right project and for them to have identified us as the right people to drive this ship."
