LAHAD DATU: POIC Sdn Bhd has joined forces with the Emergency Unit of Lahad Datu Specialist Hospital to implement a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aimed at strengthening community healthcare and workplace safety at the industrial park.
The initiative, announced by POIC in a latest statement, will see contributions to a CSR Emergency Fund, while the hospital manages training, medical protocols, and programme implementation.
This initiative reflects our commitment to social responsibility and aims to strengthen industrial safety, improve emergency response times, and build trust with the community.
The programme will cover emergency response capacity building, infrastructure and equipment support, workforce and community health, disaster preparedness, and public education awareness. A detailed requirements list will be prepared by the Emergency Unit for action.
POIC added, “We believe this collaboration will also make the industrial park more attractive to global investors, while delivering tangible benefits to both the workforce and surrounding communities.”
