Poland's economic growth slowed slightly in the first quarter, though not by as much as initially estimated, revised data from Statistics Poland showed on Monday.
Gross domestic product grew an unadjusted 3.5% year-on-year in the first quarter, easing from 4.1% growth in the final quarter of 2025. The figure was revised up from a preliminary estimate of 3.4%.
On the expenditure side, annual growth in household consumption slowed to 3.3% from 4.3%, while growth in government consumption eased to 6.0% from 7.7%.
Gross fixed capital formation increased by 2.4%, marking a sharp slowdown from the 6.6% rise recorded in the fourth quarter. Net exports made no contribution to growth in the first quarter.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, annual GDP growth moderated to 3.5% from 3.7%, with the latest reading also revised up from a preliminary estimate of 3.4%.
Compared with the previous quarter, GDP expanded by 0.6% in the January-March period, following growth of 1.0% in the preceding three months. The quarterly figure was revised up from an initial estimate of 0.5%.
