
Kota Kinabalu: Penampang police said they arrested a foreigner for alleged possession of 57.45g of suspected methamphetamine in Putatan on Thursday.
The Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division detained the 24-year-old man in a village at about 2pm, said the district’s police chief, Supt. Sammy Newton in a statement.
Police seized 11 transparent plastic packets containing clear crystal chunks suspected to be methamphetamine estimated at RM6,320 in his possession.
The suspect was also found to be positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine after an initial urine screening test in the case that carries the death penalty on conviction.
