A 25-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested over allegations that she assaulted two children, aged seven and two, at a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur.

Dang Wangi district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Azwan Nordin said the suspect was arrested at about 5.40pm today in Bandar Sri Damansara to assist investigations.

He said police received a report on Nov 1 and preliminary investigations found that the woman admitted to being involved in the incident.

“The suspect was arrested today at about 5.40pm in Bandar Sri Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, to assist further investigations,” he said in a statement.

It was earlier reported that the children's 36-year-old father lodged a police report alleging that a woman had assaulted his two children at the mall.

Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Kuala Lumpur Police Hotline at 03-2146 0522 or 03-2146 0585.

Information can also be channelled to the Dang Wangi district police control centre at 03-2600 2222 or provided at the nearest police station. - November 4, 2026
