
POLICE today confirmed a foreign man died after a fall at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA Terminal 2) on Friday night (May 1), according to a police statement.
KLIA district police chief, Asst Comm M Ravi, said the man was a 30-year-old Algerian national.
He said the incident happened at about 9.10 pm in the outer balcony area of the terminal.
He said medical staff gave emergency treatment at the scene, and the man was then rushed to Cyberjaya Hospital.
"However, at about 2.55 am this morning, the hospital confirmed that the man had died," he said in a statement reported by Bernama.
Police said they classified the case as a Sudden Death Report (SDR) and the cause remains under investigation.
Members of the public with information are asked to contact the KLIA District Police Headquarters via 03-8776 8222 to assist in the investigation.
