KUALA LUMPUR – Police have detained a woman who had professed to be of the Muslim faith before taking off clothing and allegedly insulting Islam during an open mic show at the Crackhouse Comedy Club.
In a statement today, Royal Malaysia Police secretary Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin said the woman in question will be remanded for three days starting today.
“The suspect is currently being held at the Brickfields IPD (District Police Headquarters) for now and investigations are still ongoing,” she said.
It is understood that the 28-year-old woman was detained in Taman Jaya, Jalan Gasing at around 10pm last night. – The Vibes, July 10, 2022
