
KOTA BELUD: Police detected suspects involved in the robbery of a grocery store using a slingshot, here, on Wednesday (Dec 11).
A 59-second closed circuit camera (CCTV) video recording went viral on social media on Monday, showing two men wearing helmets, breaking into the premises armed with slingshots.
AdvertisementKota Belud District Police Chief, Supt Shahrudin Mat Husain, said investigations found that the incident happened at about 4am at an unnamed premises here.
“The duo managed to take a sum of money kept in the drawer of the premises and there was also a fight between the two suspects and the victim,” he said.

“The case is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.
