SHAH ALAM, Aug 27 — The investigation into the death of a female teacher at a school in Hulu Selangor has so far found no evidence linking stress to the victim’s death.
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said a detailed investigation, including statements recorded from various parties, such as family members, colleagues and students, found that the victim had been in good condition before the incident.
“Statements have been recorded from family members, colleagues and students, but they did not point to or confirm any element of stress, as alleged, as she appeared to be doing well.
“However, the case is still being investigated as a sudden death report (SDR), and police are working to gather further statements before referring the investigation papers to the Deputy Public Prosecutor, together with recommendations for further action,” he said at a press conference at the Selangor contingent police headquarters (IPK), here, today.
He said the female teacher had been serving as a teacher for several years, but had only recently transferred to and served at the school for less than a year.
In addition, police have yet to find any leads or personal problems linked to the victim’s death.
On July 30, a female teacher was found unconscious at a school in Hulu Selangor district, before she was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital. — Bernama
