- Two police officers were seriously injured in Larkhall, southeast of Glasgow, after a van was deliberately driven at them on Saturday afternoon.
- The incident, which occurred around 2.10pm while officers were conducting inquiries, is being treated as attempted murder.
- Both male officers, aged 43 and 41, were hospitalised; the 41-year-old has since been discharged, while the 43-year-old remains in a stable condition.
- Police described the event as a “deliberate and despicable attack” and confirmed the white Renault Trafic van involved was later recovered.
- They are appealing for information regarding the suspect, described as a white male, 6ft tall, wearing dark shorts, a grey jumper, and a beige baseball cap.
