Police hunt for witnesses after two men found dead in Glasgow flat

  • Police Scotland have launched a double murder investigation following the discovery of two men's bodies in a Glasgow flat on Sunday afternoon.
  • Paul Lafferty, 50, and Gary Beatson, 54, were found with serious injuries at an address on Chancellor Street in Partick and were pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Detective Superintendent Cheryl Kelly said officers are reviewing hours of CCTV footage and conducting door-to-door enquiries to trace those responsible.
  • Detectives have appealed for anyone who knew the victims or observed anything suspicious near Chancellor Street from 9am on Friday 14 August to come forward.
  • Superintendent Craig Brady confirmed that high-visibility patrols and an increased police presence will remain in Partick while the investigation continues.
