POLICE are seeking a man who allegedly acted aggressively after ramming into a woman’s vehicle and threatening her in an early morning road rage incident near the Bangi toll plaza.
The incident, which occurred around 6.10am on Friday, involved a 31-year-old woman who was driving a Perodua Myvi to work when a blue Perodua Myvi approached from behind and suddenly swerved into her lane, colliding with the front-left side of her vehicle.
According to Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, both vehicles stopped at the roadside following the collision.
“A verbal altercation ensued. The male driver shouted at the victim and made aggressive gestures, as if intending to strike her,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
Initial investigations suggest the confrontation may have stemmed from the victim allegedly changing lanes without signalling.
The case is being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code for reckless driving, as well as under Rule 6(1) of the Road Traffic Rules (LN 166/59) for improper overtaking and obstruction.
Police are appealing to anyone with information about the suspect to contact Investigating Officer Sergeant A. Vaelmurgan at 019-6111660 or report to the nearest police station.
The incident sparked public outrage after a dashboard camera video circulated on social media, showing the man berating the woman and making motions that suggested he intended to strike her. - September 13, 2025
