Police are tracking individuals who threw stones from a bridge on the WCE, damaging a vehicle, and have remanded two men for a housebreaking.

SHAH ALAM: Police are tracking down individuals involved in throwing stones from the Seri Cheeding bridge along the West Coast Expressway.

Kuala Langat District Police Chief Supt Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said a report on the incident was received yesterday from a patrol officer.

The stone-throwing caused damage to a vehicle but no injuries were reported.

“The purpose of lodging the report was to request the police to increase patrol frequency in the area,” said Mohd Akmalrizal.

The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief.

Conviction carries a maximum sentence of two years’ imprisonment or a fine, or both.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward to assist investigations.

Earlier, a viral video showed a vehicle with a damaged windscreen and bonnet from the incident.

In a separate case, North Klang police have remanded two local men for five days.

They are suspected of involvement in a housebreaking incident in Taman Eng Ann, Klang.

Police received a report of the break-in early yesterday morning from a local woman.
