A LOCAL woman has come forward with harrowing claims of physical violence and non-consensual sexual acts perpetrated by a male acquaintance within her rented condominium unit in Kampung Batu Muda in Kuala Lumpur.
Sentul District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Basri Sagoni confirmed that a formal report was lodged at approximately 2:33pm last Friday regarding two separate incidents that allegedly occurred last week.
The first encounter reportedly took place at 11:00pm on Wednesday while the victim was in her room with her ten-month-old infant.
According to the police statement, the child’s crying provoked the suspect into a fit of rage, leading him to punch the woman in the face and cause visible swelling and bruising.
The ordeal allegedly escalated the following morning at around 11:00am when the suspect reportedly forced the victim to engage in carnal intercourse against the order of nature.
Basri stated that as a result of these incidents, the victim suffered pain in the left side of her face, the back of her neck, and her anal region.
The victim further alleged that the suspect issued a chilling threat to ensure her silence, reportedly telling her, "Don't tell anyone, or you will see what happens, I can do anything," leaving her in a state of constant fear.
Investigations reveal that the pair had been acquainted since January through mutual friends, though they shared no formal marital ties.
The suspect had reportedly stayed at the victim's rented room on several occasions prior to the alleged attacks.
Following the reported assaults, the victim sought medical attention at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) before notifying the authorities.
However, Basri noted that the initial medical report found no physical evidence of penetration as alleged by the victim.
Despite this, the investigation remains active as police work to locate the suspect.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Investigating Officer, Inspector Mohamad Azwani Londing, at 016-9882594, the Sentul District Police Headquarters Operations Room at 03-40482222, or the nearest police station. - March 4, 2026
