Police launch manhunt for two masked men who robbed a Nilai gold shop, escaping with RM60,000 in jewellery on a motorcycle

SEREMBAN: Police are hunting two local men suspected of an armed robbery at a gold shop inside a shopping mall in Bandar Baru Nilai.

Nilai District Police chief Supt Johari Yahya said a report on the incident was received at about 8.30 pm.

He said both suspects had their faces covered and were wearing helmets while riding a blue Yamaha Y15 motorcycle.

No shots were fired during the incident, and no injuries have been reported.

Johari confirmed there were two workers and no customers present at the time of the robbery.

The suspects used an orange Lalamove delivery bag to carry the stolen items.

Total losses from the robbery are estimated at RM60,000.

The case is being investigated under Section 4 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971.
