Police looking for relatives of accident victim

PENAMPANG: The police are looking for the family of an unidentified man who was knocked and killed by a van in front of Bataras Supermarket along Jalan Bundasan, here, on Thursday.

Penampang police chief DSP Haris Ibrahim said the man, believed to be between 30 and 40 years old was found without any form of identification.

“Paramedics confirmed his death at the 5.30am scene. The body has been sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a post mortem,” he said.

The public with information or have had family members who fit the description gone missing recently are urged to contact investigating traffic officer Inspector Firdaus Che Mustafa at 013-2006086.
