TAWAU: Police arrested a 23-year-old foreigner who ran amok by destroying property in his house at Kg Batu 3 Jalan Apas around 12.40am on Wednesday.

Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the suspect was arrested after his 39-year-old brother-in-law placed an emergency call reporting aggressive behaviour and threats against family members.

“The situation escalated when the suspect began destroying household items without provocation,” he said.

Police arrested the suspect without incident and brought him to the Tawau Police Headquarters for questioning.
