THE suspected gunman of the April 14 Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) shooting has been remanded a further five days, after an earlier remand order obtained by cops ended today.
The new remand order, which ends on April 26, was obtained before magistrate Ahmad Syafiq Aizat Nazri at the magistrates’ court in Kota Baru this morning.
The 38-year-old suspect was remanded for seven days earlier to assist the police investigation into the case.
Earlier, the suspect arrived at the Kota Baru Court Complex, clad in lock-up attire, at about 8.35am.
He was escorted by several policemen.
Last Sunday, the suspect allegedly fired at his wife Farah Md Isa, better known as Farah Cie, during the 1.30am incident.
The shots missed Farah but hit her bodyguard Muhammad Nur Hadith, who remains in a coma at the Cyberjaya Hospital.
The suspect is believed to have bought the gun he used from a Thai national for RM5,000. – April 22, 2024.
