Police question five over bullying and assault case at Subang Jaya school

POLICE have recorded statements from five individuals in connection with a bullying and assault case involving a male student at a secondary school in USJ 4, Subang Jaya, last week.

Subang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat confirmed that the individuals include the victim, a Form Two student, as well as several other students suspected of involvement and a teacher from the school.

“So far, no arrests have been made,” he told reporters on Tuesday.

He added that the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which pertains to voluntarily causing hurt.

Earlier media reports revealed that the student was left traumatised after being physically attacked by his schoolmates on more than one occasion. The student’s father, 43, only learned of the incidents on 2 May and subsequently lodged a police report.

According to the student, he was punched in the face by a schoolmate on 29 April. A second incident occurred on 2 May, when he was confronted by three students, leading to a scuffle.

The investigation is ongoing. - May 7, 2025
