POLICE have recorded statements from 35 individuals as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of a Year Four pupil who was found unconscious in the boys’ toilet of a school in Senawang last Wednesday.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said those questioned include students, teachers, school staff, medical professionals, and members of the deceased boy’s family.
“We are also in the process of collecting several documents and records from the school, the forensics department, and the hospital. The investigation papers are expected to be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor in the near future,” he told Bernama today.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 507C of the Penal Code, which deals with offences involving the endangerment of life or bodily harm.
Datuk Alzafny also urged the public to refrain from making any assumptions or circulating speculation that could interfere with the investigation process.
According to earlier reports, police received an alert about the incident at 1.19pm on the day in question, while the child was undergoing initial treatment at a nearby private clinic. He had been found unconscious in the school restroom and was later pronounced dead.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has confirmed that the Ministry of Education is leaving the matter entirely to police authorities, adding, “The investigation will be carried out transparently.” - October 4, 2025
